Budget

Did anyone notice this?

How much road tax will that be? I’m paying £600. Per year, Assume it’s £1200.00 for a new equivalent car …ouch!

Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) first year rates will be increased for new cars registered on or after 1 April 2025. Zero emission cars will pay the lowest first year rate at £10 until 2029 to 2030. Rates for cars emitting 1g/km to 50g/km of CO2, including hybrid vehicles, will increase to £110. Rates for cars emitting 51g/km to 75g/km of CO2, including hybrid vehicles, will increase to £130. All other rates for cars emitting 76g/km of CO2 and above will double from their current level. These changes will apply from 1 April 2025. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

It’s just the first years tax that’s gone up, you could pay up to £5,500 if you went for a V8 RR, although a hybrid would only be £110 I think. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Ok thanks, still a big old whack. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
