Insurance Renewal.....

Just got my renewal quote in from my insurer, I have a Multi-car policy covering my Cayenne and my wife's Smart Brabus Coupe Roadster....

The renewal came in at £1883.45..... Shocked

Used two comparison sites so far and got the individual quotes down to £764 for my car and £559 for my wife's car.... And guess what the cheapest quotes are from the same insurer I'm with currently....

I've used confused.com, moneysupermarket.com, Aviva, AA so far for quotes...

Anyone got some other websites or Insurance Brokers to consider before completing my renewal....

TIA..... Bow down

there so many variations on insurance quotes and it all depends on your postcode, age , years driving and NCB but to name a few so its not worth me saying go to 'such and such' cos my circumstances might/will be different to yours... ...i always recommend putting your details into an insurance comparison site cos some have introductory discounts which drops the premium right down...i change every year to the cheapest quote ...

Phone your insurer and they will drop to the cheapest quote if you found it was them on line. Annoying as hell but you seem to have to play this game every year. I generally change companies when they do it to me.

2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi,
I have just done the whole renewel thing this evening.
Have been with Admiral multi-car for about 3 years and they will price match within the group (Bell, Elephant and one other) and I have always found them the cheapest, perhaps haggling them down £50 or so.
Last year we had a very old 405 oil-burner and a 98 BMW 540 touring (lovely car but not worth too much).
Premium last year was about £450 all in.
This year we have the 57 plate RR TDV8 VSE and a W reg 406 Oil-burner. I was expecting to pay more but the renewel quote had risen to £911. I had pretty much accepted that I would have to pay that much.
I went to Gocompare.com (normally I avoid these sites) but they suggested Swiftcover as cheapest.
I deleted all cookies and then joined Quidco.com and entered the Swiftcover site through Quidco.
The total premium for both cars with Swiftcover was around £545. I gave Admiral a chance by calling them but even after a manager applied a loyalty discount, the best they could do was £837.
By doing the deal through Quidco should generate 2x£28 in cashback, therefore both cars insured for less than £500.
That is two new tyre paid for next year!
GO-COMPARE!
