United States 2009 Range Rover Autobiography 4.2 SC V8 Bournville
Front brake pads; Ceramic or Low-Met

Hi everyone,

About to replace front rotors and pads on my 2009 L322 Autobiography. I have Brembo brakes on it so I went to the Brembo site to get the OEM part numbers.

All's clear except they show two different pad options; Ceramic or Low-Met.

When I look up the parts on Land Rover parts sites they don't mention the pads being either.

So, which is the OEM front brake pads?

Thanks!

Original pads will be a semi metallic pad ('low-met'). Kev

Ive imported ceramic pads from your side of the pond and so far, they have been great... Far less dust front & rear. Quiet and strong... Thumbs Up

Do the ceramic pads need to warm up before being effective?

Thanks!

I've imported PowerStop Ceramic from Rock Auto for years, excellent stopping, very progressive and a massive reduction in dust...
