Not sure what’s in the picture…but why not add 0.5L and then re-check level ?

The oil level indicator usualy tells you how much to add. Better to put in a bit too much than too little. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Was that with a cold engine or 20min post shut down? When cold, it should read 2 notches above mid way. It’s 2 liters between empty and full on dash gauge. So adding 0.5L will get you a 25% increase to 75%, which will be fine. It doesn’t have to be full. |

The warning you get from the instrument panel when the oil level reading is over 'Full' is not something to ignore.
