Hello all.

This all started when I read a thread about programming memory seats by holding the key in the door lock for each key.

When I tried it my key turned and did nothing.

Further searches suggested a damaged door lock tumbler so I duly purchased a repair kit (2 in fact as the first one was quality) and repaired the door lock however once refitted the key still does not lock and unlock the car.

I havn't pulled off the door card yet, but what am I looking at here?
A new lock mechanism or can the dog that the key assembly engages with be replaced?

Also, has anyone successfully disabled superlock on a pre 2010 car?
There is nothing for it in the GAP IID tool.
Can I disable it once I have the lock in bits or am I looking at snipping the control wire in the door loom?
