From your description, I'll second your view of worn-out shocks, having been there with my MY12 TDV8 L322 which also has CVDs. |

Many thanks aljo, crikey that was quite a read, 34 pages! I don't think I have the same thing - the crash in to the potholes could potentially be because the car is too stiff, or too soft. But the way it floats over undulations at speed points to being soft, to me at least. It's not a grey issue / matter of opinion - it's awful, the wife's mini on runflats deals with the local roads better. I have had a string of LR products, D3's, D4's, L322's and have just come out of a L320RRS. Part of the attraction of the cars to me is the smooth ride, and I have always shyed away from big wheels for that reason. But this would be awful if it was on massive wheels with skinny tyres and it isn't, it's on 20's, and ought to be much better than a previous generation RRS on the same. The good news is that it is consistent, and really quite dramatic - hopefully will make diagnosis relatively easy, and I am desperately hoping something mechanical (new shocks?) rather than electrical. Will get it in to my trusted Indy asap and report back. |

Now responding to the right post! ![]() Thanks GraemeS - I don't claim to understand all the complex systems of the car (and have only had it 5 minutes), but in an old school way that's certainly what it feels like. Think ancient Moroccan Mercedes taxi. I jest not, that bad! |

I’ve been paying more attention to mine because of these posts. I definitely feel that the car handles undulations in the road well, nice a soft and a controlled wallow but it’s short fast bump compliance like potholes and rough surface seem to transmit through the car much more that other models.

I am preparing to replace the rear CVD shocks on our L322 because the driver's side is leaking oil heavily. A pool collects on the drive, especially on a 40-degree day.

Thanks all, as I say with mine it is immediately and significantly obvious. So do not think it could be attributed to tyre / wheel combination or freak road, or picky driver.

If you unplug the connector from the top of one of the front shocks then adaptive damping will be disabled making the shocks maximum firmness. If still floaty then the shocks are too worn to be useful as the ride should be uncomfortably firm. |

@tallHoward were you able to figure out your issue? I have something similar and can't seem to pin it down.
