IID Tool scan and these ATC Heat / Cool Faults

have tried over the last two years to resolve as many faults as possible on my 2004 L322 V8 Petrol using th GAP IID tool, but still have some codes that would appreciate any help with fixing them before the warmer weather hits - well here's hoping anyways Smile

April 2020 I replaced the FSR Final Stage Blower Motor Resistor Aspirator aka Hedgehog, with a better than OEM part, and this worked for the summer of 20 and 21, but the below 3 codes have come back again Sad

0x30 Air Quality sensor line fault, aka Sensor Air Inlet (Re circulation) LR Part Number JTF100130, and pollution sensor, seems to be the part at postion 7 on the digram above, am told it controls the auto circulate function of the HVAC, it's also called a Pollution Sensor, hoping that's just a simple swap out with a new one ? Sensor £40

0x22 Left water valve driver fault - this seems like a common problem, as there are even repair kits for these Bosch / Valeo "Heater Valves", I can buy a new one off ebay for about £40 quid and see if it clears the fault, Item is described as: FIT BMW 5 7 SERIES E39 E38 E53 X5 HVAC HEATER DUAL CONTROL VALVE 64128374995 ---- shown as location 5 in the above drawing ( High Line version ) , has anyone tried a repair on one of these and it cleared the 0x22 error ??

0x2F Aspirator motor fault - never got to the bottom of this back in June 2020

Watched this youtube video about getting the BMW blower motor out of the dash, very well explained and the main cause for the blower motors to fail is explained at 9 mins 50 seconds into the video

looking on the internet, it does not seem many of these motors get replaced because the labour is tens of hours doing it by the LR book, instead of cutting some plastic away ( as the video explains above)

anyway it's just a simple motor sandwiched between two fans, the motor spins behind the control panel to draw air in from inside the car to measure the ambient temp, probably an easy enough fix, I might get mine out and have a look Smile

described on ebay as NEW BMW X5 (E53) | Range Rover (L322) Air Con Heater Blower Fan Motor 8385558 £50 quid

And what a day that was taking out the dash and putting in a new one, all works now though - phew

Update on this matter - bought this item on Ebay
