L405 to L460 Conversion Kit

When I was last in China at the Canton Fair, I came across a firm that makes Range Rover, Rolls Royce and Bentley facelift products — grilles, headlights, etc. He keeps me abreast of his new products on WeChat as they do.

This week he told me about their new kit: a full kit to convert an L405 externally to look like an L460. Shocked

This also involves changing the rear wings, or a section of them at least. Apparently, they have a workshop where all this is going on in China.

It seems like an awful lot of work to me. I'm not sure the demand will be huge for this over here. It's not just like bolting on a few bits and bobs like you would to upgrade a grille or headlights. I could see the appeal of maybe making an L405 rear light that looked like an L460 that was plug and play. But this is like full-on fakery. What say you?

Completely pointless to me, but I’m always surprised at how much effort goes into these kits, especially with the interiors - the G-Class ones seem fairly popular.

Seems like an awful lot of work, when the door handles give it away Whistle

I get the easy upgrades, like plug and play rear light replacements, but once you're into respray territory, it's too much IMHO.
