Rear right seat folds when tail gate opening help

Guys had a weird thing happened today went out of our hotel to put my clubs in the boot, opened the tail gate upper section and the right rear seat folded flat, the rear boot button won't bring it up, nothing, operates the left rear ok, only way to get it up is by using the actual seat buttons on the seat, happens each time I open the boot, not good when the dog is on the seat.... 😲
Anyone had this issue?
What's the resolution?
TIA

Does it only happen when you've got golf clubs to hand?

Sounds like you may have the 'golf club load assist' feature enabled in the vehicle settings.

(Sorry couldn't resist... Laughing )

Heard this from a few mates in main dealers... Even folding up whilst children have been sat inside! Never had one in here though... Rolling Eyes

No experience of this, but when seat components have moved randomly in my car it was a software issue and rebooting the software cured it. Failing that there might be an inappropriate connection in a switch block or control module or the like. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Stan just a quick question regarding the buttons as I keep knocking mine as we have a dog crate in sittue. would you think it would throw up any codes or warnings if i disconnected the plug off the back. I appreciate the best way is just to try it but was wondering if you had any experiance or thoughts on this ? 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black
