I am planning a fishing trip taking my L322 TDV8 4.4 and would like to open the rear hatch and tailgate for the day with the doors closed to access my stuff in the boot as required.

My question is, would the interior lights extinguish themselves after a few minutes and stay out for the day. Would the whole car shut down properly with the boot open?
I am going for three days sleeping in a bivvy and am concerned about a flat battery 150miles from home.

Just turn the interior lights off by pressing the button for a few seconds till a message comes on the dash.
