2008 3.6 tdv8 - trans fault - P0666 and P181D

Hi guys, bought this RR driving perfect, after 50 miles driving home it went into limp mode.

I’ve got the two faults listed above.

Can anyone advise where to start poking and prodding this thing?

It will start and as you begin to drive goes into limp mode, can hear a whine from the transmission.

No I didn’t, checked everything obvious, electrical etc and ended up selling it for parts.

Google indicates that P0666 is a clutch actuator and P181D is a temp sensor....

Try a transmission specialist, they maybe able to help... Thumbs Up Pete

Those codes both relate to the transfer box change-over solenoid. Worth just checking its winding resistance, I think.
