High up at a mast site in the Scottish Highlands with the wife and dog for an overnight stop. First time I've done this with the 4.4 and it behaved just like the 3.6 did before it. Ten minutes to set-up and ten to pack away the next day. Who needs a camper van anyway?

It's not exactly the most accessable stopping point, which is why I like it.

Welcome to the forum Cryan! Nice to see another RR with a roof tent! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom |

I'd love to have this capability on my L405. Unfortunately, due to the panoramic roof, it's not going to happen Kev

I’m sure it can be done with a pan roof?

Get an Oztent and strap that to crossbars, about the same time to setup as a rooftent with the benefit of being able to leave it set up if you need to nip to the shops... Other benefits include:- You can stand up to get dressed in it The RV4 will fit 2 standard mil. cotbeds plus room for a couple of dog beds The awning can be enclosed to make a kitchen / inclement weather sitting area Rooftents are great, sometimes ground tents are better. |
