L322 to the Alps

My long-term L405 3.0 2016 was stolen in January. it was completely trouble-free over 90,000 thousand miles and several trips to the Alps every year.

I replaced it with a 2011 5.0 supercharged L322 - It had 49,000 miles on it. I have since covered 2003 miles in it.

In a couple of weeks time, we are about to embark on our annual summer family holiday to the Alps. I am going to take the L322 with dogs and bikes etc.

Previously there was never any question that the car would be anything but completely reliable. I’m wondering if there are any sensible pre-travel checks that I should do myself?

After buying the car, I did an oil change myself and had all the transmission and gearbox fluids changed

Thanks in advance. Current

More likely to breakdown in the 3.0 diesel than the 5.0.

Go and enjoy!

Maybe worth getting a specialist to give it an inspection ( RRLondon or Glenrands) just for peace of mind. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I drove my 4.4 TDV8 to the alps (1800 miles) and for peace of mind took out special European recovery at £90 for a week. Of course nothing went wrong and the journey was sublime.

tip" Plot your tank fill ups before leaving to make sure you don't splutter to a halt in the middle of the might somewhere! Whistle
