What’s the pin for?

Suddenly the car is asking for a pin.
If I put it in , or not , or skip, seems to make no difference to anything I’m using.

What’s it for ? How to stop the car asking? &. As an aside Wouldn’t it be a good idea if the pin protected the car & immobolised the car !

Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

It's to do with putting the car into valet mode so someone else can drive it without accessing your details on the system, and maybe also stops access to the loadspace. If it's possible to get out of valet mode then it should not come up, otherwise dealers can re-set. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Thumbs Up Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
