Australia 2016 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Fuji White
L405 Blind Spot Retro Fit

I'm new to the world of Range Rovers having recently bought a 2016 SDV8, I've been pulling apart cars and modifying them for the last 20 years so I'm looking forward to playing with this one now.

I'm wanting to add some of the sensors that my model is missing and as the thread title implies the blind spot sensors are on the to do list. I haven't found any threads dedicated to the L405 blind spot retro fit, but if you have one I would welcome the link.

Parts list
From my investigations of the workshop manual the parts need are the rear bumper harness, correct mirrors and rears sensors. There's looks to be no other parts that are not already on the vehicle.
Happy to be corrected so if someone knows better I'm here to learn.

The equipment list below is just what I've found thus far, I'll update it as I go through this retrofit.

LR075646 - Blind spot & hands free sensor wiring harness
LR054575 - Monitoring Sensor Left
LR054576 - Monitoring Sensor Right
LR048977 - LH Wing Mirror Assembly
LR048959 - RH Wing Mirror Assembly

LR035061 - Glass - Right Rear view outer mirror - RHD
LR035063 - Glass - Left Rear view outer mirror - RHD

All other parts I should be able to salvage from the existing mirrors

Next steps

Understanding the CCF modifications for the retrofit.
If anyone with the blind spot monitors has an IDD tool that could kindly provide the settings that would be appreciated.

- Bumper harness
I have the boot kick sensors (fickle things but they work with a whole lot of patience) but need an Endoscope to check the harness for the rear sensors connectors.

Butterzone, please take this as tongue in cheek, however can you not just look ? I am sure mine has it as a light keeps flashing within the wing mirror. No idea how it works and I just look like what we were told Rolling with laughter 2013 L405 Autobiography Baltic Blue

I always thought they were a bit gimmicky, as I’d never had them and being an ex-biker, I always do the old “lifesaver” but I have to say, they are pretty damn good. I just turn off the “assistance” option so it doesn’t try to pull me back in. This is especially annoying when you’ve just been overtaken and see a gap to pull out and the damn thing doesn’t think there’s enough off a gap (to the car that just passed you, not the car coming up behind you). Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Rosco, I guarantee little orange lights on the mirrors won't change decades of ingrained head turning habits, I just want all the toys Wink

alanm_3 Same I've never had them before so I would like to add them now.
I suspect lane change would require the cameras in the mirrors. I drove a rental with that feature a few years back and remember overtaking was a frustrating experience.
