Hi All,
Apologies for a long post but I’m scratching my head on a couple of issues….ill be as brief and direct as possible.
Car is a HSE TD 6 2003. 155,000 miles.
EAS. Car showing no lights on EAS switches, inactive message on dash. Autel 808 scanner shows fault as Reservoir Valve Supply Fault’. Clear fault and lights come on and compressor starts, reservoir pressure about 10.8 bar, then compressor stops (it is not overheating) and fault comes back. Car seems to be sitting high. Anyone know what this fault means (I’m assuming it’s referring to an electrical supply) and where this valve is located?
Next…..every two or three mins’ there is a loud bleep from inside the dashboard…..for Brits on here it sounds like the beep you got when you called the speaking clock! Happens with ignition on/off….keys in or out of ignition……any ideas gratefully received.
Finally the steering…..I hope I might be able to help others here. Replaced the drivers seat switch module as although the seat worked in all ways, the memory buttons did not and the electric column was completely dead. Scanner couldn’t communicate with seat module it said. Tested the new unit and perfect…..seat worked, memory worked and …..steering column worked……for about 60 seconds. The up/down switch does what it should…..the in/out switch worked a couple of times, but then there was a clonk and although the motor operates no movement!
Is this a mission to fix in terms of time and money? I’m assuming that the steering electrics are fed from the seat module and that the module is built into the seat switch pack…..even though there is a yellow module under the drivers seat!?!
Many thanks for any advice on the above, I bought the car for a song as a project….but as fast as I fix things then something else breaks….l suppose I’d better get used to it yeah…….although it drives beautifully and no engine/gearbox issues….yet!
Thanks in anticipation. Present cars.
