Suspension issues 2012 4.4 TDV8

Strange suspension problem, perhaps similar to another recent post, but different enough that I don’t want to hijack the same thread
I had an issue with the suspension which appeared to be caused by the front right height sensor. I asked a local 4x4 specialist to take a look and he agreed. I bought a new genuine sensor and a wiring repair kit as the clips on the plug were broken. The old sensor did seem to be dodgy as it didn’t move smoothly.
I fitted the sensor but the front suspension does not raise.
There seems to be a big difference between the height values of the front wheels, but my diagnostic tool doesn’t seem to allow me to calibrate. Is this a calibration issue? Or something else?
The suspension seems to be stuck in extended mode,, or at least it reverts back to it as it believes there is an obstruction.
Any ideas?

Finally figured it out. The sensor on the other side had also failed. Put in a new one and everything worked fine. Was a little too high initially but calibrated it no problem.

I’d be interested to know how long they last on average. The two I took off were genuine Land Rover and I replaced with genuine. I hope not to have to do it again.
