Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Problems

Hi All.

Has anyone had any experience with the EPB module on the L322 specifically?

Reason for asking is that mine comes up with a flashing Parking brake light when you try to apply it. I can hear the motor working, and it will pull the brake shoes (or at least one side) up and lock it on. I've inspected the shoes and although not totally knackered, they do need replacing (which I am going to do). The problem is that it wont release now.

Gap tool records an over-temperature fault code, but I'm not sure if that's particularly related, unless its tried several times to put the brakes on.

Main concern is that if I have to pull the module out for repair, is it really a subframe drop job? I'm not the type to shy away from diy jobs, but if there was a company that was recommended to do the complete job, I think I'd consider taking it to someone to sort.

Any advice gratefully received.

Cheers
