Seat belt buckle housing digging into rear seat?

Hi, picked up my approved used 2020 Vogue P400 about a month ago. Loving it so far. I am, however, having a slight issue with the drivers side rear seat belt buckle housing.

As can be seen from the photo - it’s sort of on an angle and digging into the seat. Deforming the seat in the process and making it very difficult to access it to clip in the seat belt when I’ve got my kids child seat on the seat.

Are these adjustable some how? I’ve wiggled it and it seems to ‘click’ outwards but then just returns back to its original position. There’s a fair bit of tension holding it in what appears to me to be an ‘incorrect’ position.

Anybody…??!

If someone could post a pic of their drivers side rear seat belt clip that would be great.

Dealer fobbed me off today and said it’s ‘normal’.

But as it stands we can’t physically fit the child car seat on that seat as the clip is on such an angle it binds against the side of the seat, and means the seat belt buckle won’t clip in.

NB. I did actually manage to fit the child car seat after about 20 mins, but then it took me another 30 mins to get the damn thing out as the buckle binds against the isofix release buttons.

Thanks

Hi, Jaybird
I may be talking out of my hat here but in the absence of any other replies to your Q … Embarassed
I no longer have a Rangie (mine was a 2004 L322) so I cannot go and check, but if your buckle attachment is anything like this:

could it not be that it has simply somehow got bent and, with a bit of force, could be bent back into the correct position?
I apologise in advance if I’m way off track here but, as I said, in the absence of wiser words …
Good luck Thumbs Up

I just went to look at mine and concluded that yours looks bent / out of position. It should easily flip up & down into the cut out area.
