Yes this old chestnut again...Battery went flat though lack of use. Tried a jump pack, nope, tried jumping it from another RR with heavy leads, while it would spin wound not start....so pulled battery. checked and showed 8 volts.
Put on overnight charge and then started as it did all day. However this morning needed the jump pack to start.
Have gone through some of the threads and now head scratching. I'm not convinced the Radio is booting up properly, it seem to go the turn on screen or sat-nav, however once started the Land rover logo comes up and it works fine.
Also once turned off there is a motor running for some time, it seem to be the little one that works the internal temp sensor, pulling fuse 12 stops it. How long is the shut down time on these? More used to chasing P38's!
One last question, that I'm probably missing. Remove the + terminal and place my multimeter between the post and lead, meter set to dc amps, no reading (lead moved over) however if i move the meter lead back over and set the meter i get battery voltage, swap posts ( meter still connected to positive lead) i get around 8v...
I'm very tired so must be missing something... TIA 2008 TDv8 Vogue in Java black x2
