New member here, third post

Recently bought my first RR and getting to know it. Early 2017 Autobiography - the mild update with the better infotainment. It has the optional leather headlining but I was surprised to find the A/B/C/D pillar trims are bare plastic. Is that normal ? I've been trying to research and can't find anything either way:

* Standard spec is Alcantara, and based on lots of cars for sale, the pillars are trimmed to match.

* Leather was a no-cost option according to the April 2017 price list I found.

* I've looked for leather-trimmed parts on ebay, they definitely exist, but all seem to be from earlier cars (2013-2015).

* I've not spotted any 2017 cars for sale that based on the photos definitely have leather pillar trims with leather headlining but by the same token I've not spotted any low-spec cars with plastic trims ! They're all Alcantara.

I can't believe someone has nicked the leather trim and replaced it with plastic. But I'm also surprised that it might have been deliberate; maybe a cost saving to offset the leather headlining ? It was a no-cost option after all and cows cost more than artificial materials like Alcantara.

My 13 has leather pillars, so maybe it was a cost cutting thing on 17 plates?

Mines a 2017 and has leather everywhere. overfinch modified

And is an overfinch, which will be higher spec all over anyway.

Anyone here got a 2017/2018 Autobiography with leather headlining ?

I guess I could take the trims off and check the date stamps, see if they're substantially different to the rest of the car.

My 2017MY 5.0SC has leather headlining but I think the pillars are plastic. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Hi mines a 2017 autobiography with leather roof lining and a,b,and c pillars all match the roof but not sure about the d pillars

Yes they are plastic, albeit a good quality one with a better quality feel. Only Range Rovers since 1988
