I presumed this was the 2012 as the facelift mentions about black light surrounds & colour coded handles - I realise that one has the kit on it, but the lights look darker than normal.

Does this mean (after abandoning Italy) that 2013 colours will include "Shetland Grey"? Thumbs Up Laughing

The bumper with the insert is entirely diferent to a standard 2011 bumper... The panel will only fir the "design kit" bumper... Around £1500 for the front bumper complete!

My lights have been painted black since i 2010 converted my previous TD6 a month after the release...

No the lights don't function in a different way. They just have black backing instead of grey.

I think from feb 2012 every new vehicle sold must have daytime running lights (another stupid eu law we have to comply with) Most new audi's and mercs have them fitted already. I would have thought land rover would have fitted these to the 2012 lights to be ready for the change. I dont think the angel eye rings will be bright enough to use as drl's. Time will tell I supose. I wonder if they will be on a fuse that can be pulled like on old volvo's!

The law is that from February 2011 every new model introduced by a manufacturer had to have day running lights. As the Range Rover L322 has actually been around in some from since 2002 it is therefore exempt. The Evoque has them, as will all forthcoming models.

The current 'Signature LEDs' were never designed for DRLs - they are simply fancy side lights. They aren't bright enough as you say.

They've done just the same to that unfortunately. A D4 looks like a D3 that has spent a year or two on a gypsy site.

Agree, I had one following me the other night. Looking in my mirror I tought I had a right chav following me. When I stopped at traffic lights and it pulled alongside me I was disappointed to see it was a Discovery. (maybe the car now deserves the nickname "Disco") No longer FF owner but still interested.
