What counts as a journey

My drive is linear, by that I mean the cars have to park one behind the other. So sometimes I have to move my car (the Range Rover) to let my wife out and then I put it back - a manoeuvre rather than a journey.
With all the discussion around clogged DPFs, oil dilution and service indicators . I got to wondering, if anything, What actually happens, I suspect the car will register somehow the engine start and maybe a very short journey (a few metres) but I don’t know does anyone else? Geoff
