good day all , got the dreaded air suspension faults today with the vehicle sitting on its bump stops, in the past its had a new OSF airbag only [ in england btw ] approx 7 years ago , never did get round to changing the Nsf, 2 new rear height sensors ,approx 18 months ago, it's been parked up for about 12 days now and had been gradually sinking lower until it hit the bump stops , wasn't to concerned because its done this before and always lifted once i've started it up , sometimes to ordinary ride height ie, 2 level orange lights on the suspension height selector , on a rare occasion i've had to drop it down to access level then to off road level then to normal level to get it to sit right, and it's always remained level if used every day , what we have done so far today is read the fault code using a snap on scan tool which was telling us that there was a fault on the osf saying air or fluid leak , i cant remember the code off the top of my head, we have also had it on a 2 post lift , raised in the air with all 4 wheels hanging and the engine running , listening for air leaks didnt produce anything but what we did notice was that both rear air bags were rock hard , the osf one was inflated but not rock hard [ imagine a football that's a bit soft ] and the nsf was flat , what we have also done is removed both the air pipes [one at a time and blue in my case ]from the compressor and started it up , plenty of pressure as you couldn't block either off by putting your thumb over the hole, we also slackened off the black pipe at the compressor and as we did so air began to escape ,so assuming all was well we did it back up with no further investigation , turning to the nsf again we wanted to disconnect the black air feed pipe to the bag and see if any air was coming out , not being able to remember how it comes out we cut it , no air came from the bag at all, when we started the car up again [still with the wheels hanging] no air came from the pipe , we then dropped it down so the wheels were touching the floor and compressing the air springs we moved the shs to normal ride height and the compressor started pulsing the air and dropping it to access mode gave us a continuous flow of air [till the compressor overheated then shut down] we have also [ using a blowgun ] given the nsf air spring/bag a direct supply of compressed air , this forced the shock absorber down to its full extent and gave us a rock hard airbag that doesn't leak, so now we're at a complete loss as in what to do next , i think i've read every thing using the search engine but can seem to find anything related to my problem , would drilling a hole through that tapered bronze gizmo help ? or does that only help if your stuck in off road mode, hope you can make sense of this ramble and any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated and thank you in advance

drilling a hole in the bronze air release nozzle is when it wont lower i believe. If its on its bump stops then there is a leak somewhere try putting it in off road height remove the relay and see how it looks in the morning . razing slowly just is a compressor issue i have had the same issues what i did was get an air compressor rebuild kit that should sort out the problem .....as for the other issue see how it looks in the morning and you can also spray soapy water on the valve blocks air lines and air bags  2008 3.6 tdv8 range rover Vogue Stornoway grey - Parchment Leather

Thank you for the swift reply sir , we double checked everything that we tested yesterday and low and behold we find a tiny split in the nearside front airbag, we only listened for the air leak yesterday, today we used soapy water and it bubbles straight away, thinking about it , it had started listing toward the nsf before it sat on its stops , new airstrut ordered and will be fitted Monday, fingers crossed it cures it , thanks once again for your input
