I've just bought a 2012 Westminster and sadly the tailgate is a touch worse than I thought. Question is: to paint or replace? I think I'd prefer the latter as I can do it myself but I expect finding a rust free example in Orkney grey might be a challenge

I'd replace it as unless you can fabricate the steelwork yourself it's going to be hugely expensive to cut it all out and replace with fresh metal.

There should be plenty about, but may take some effort to find a rust free one and get it sprayed to match. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

Yeah I'm not *that* good with fabrication work sadly! It'll probably be alright this summer, but definitely wants doing before next winter really. One of those things I should have inspected more thoroughly but got kind of caught up in the moment!!

Depends how bad it is and what are the arches and sills looking like ? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

They are fine, actually. There has been some surface rust on the arches but it's been addressed before it's progressed so has knocked it largely on the head. The sills are also OK I think
