United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey
New EGR valve fault

I've replaced the EGR valves on my 3.6 TDV8, but valve for bank 2 is not working.

- Message " Engine system fault" appears on driver information panel shortly after start up.

- after a couple of starts, EML appears with code as per screen shot

- Swapping the leads moves the problem to the other valve, ruling out faulty part (they are Magnetti Marelli valves)

- live data shows bank 1 going through start up and shut down open close procedure, and bank 2 does not. As though it's not receiving a command.

My diagnosis question: do I have a dodgy loom? Which may have been triggered by the upheaval of the valve replacement as it has to be messed around with and moved out of the way.

The vehicle is on 187k. It's running fine.

Many thanks for any help
