Suspension problem after fitting new air compressor | |
I've had a very intermittent front passenger side suspension drop which only occurs below around 5 degrees celcius. It hasn't happened for many weeks but about a week ago I had a suspension fault bing which the IID told me was C1A20-64 Pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir.
After looking into the rebuild options I found a new old stock genuine LR compressor on Ebay so decided to go for that rather than replace the seals and desiccant.
I installed the new compressor today and flashed the ECU to AMK and initially all looked fine and the car levelled well.
Then when I started to drive the compressor seemed to continue running and the car raised itself into extended height. I tried to lower it to normal but it kept raising.
I then heard a hiss from the front and both front sides have lowered to the bump stops and the rear appears to be at normal height.
Would really appreciate your thoughts on whether there is likely to be an issue with the new compressor or if the new compressor has exacerbated an underlying leak?
I'm assuming there is an underlying leak? If this is the general consensus would you check the airbags first or could it be a valve block issue? I also read that I should replace the relay with a new compressor which I have now ordered.
Thanks for your help
