Gas discharge 30 seconds after parking

Chaps

Shortly after parking I get a single discharge of air from what I think is near the nearside back wheel.

Very disconcerting as I think the airbag is dying but everything in terms of ride height etc seems absolutely fine.

Is this a known thing/ any idea would be extremely welcome/ fixes.

If I remember correctly the suspension draws air in and vents air out through an air dryer filter thing … which is all in the compressor unit under the boot floor.. when it parks up it normally does a quick level by letting down the sides to get level , this venting the air. … so is that where you are hearing it from? V8 or else ...

The above mentioned compressor is inside under the boot floor… in the spare wheel well under the wheel.

There is also an air tank outside under the sill under the rear passenger door… could be that.

It releases some pressure when you lock the car/turn ignition off if I remember right.

You prob need to rule those out first.

I don’t ear anything from the compressor on mine though, but sometimes there is an air release from near the air tank area.

Mine does it every time

When i stop, i full car into access height

And about 15 seconds after i have shut engine off and turned off ignition, the air suspension lets some air go from the rear

Of note…i park on slope. So car is levelling itself even when parked

No problems with suspension when car is running
