Paint wear on tailgate pillars

Seems to be that the spoiler is rubbing the paint away on the tailgate pillar.

Same on both pillars.

Is this a thing?

Yes, it is a thing, my tailgate has had to be repositioned a couple of times because it was rubbing on the sides, not that difficult/expensive to do, but disappointing it is needed at all. Only Range Rovers since 1988
