Mine did this very occasionally when dragging tin tent , found by stopping and leaving it and waggling main boost pipe going into throttle body it was fine on a restart , did the throttle body 3 o ring mod whilst trying to sort out dpf regen issues last year (final bit was changing egt sensor to get rid of po40d code earlier this year) and so far no issues , time will tell over the next 6 months , never did yellow restricted performance issue without tin tent on back though. |

Well folks I also have this issue in that mine has gone into limp mode twice recently after climbing steep hills locally. Having parked up and restarted the engine it had reverted to a normal drive and is caused I think once the 2500 rpm barrier is crossed. I have cleaned the MAF sensors and the MAP sensor since in case they were the cause and will have a smoke test done next Tuesday. I have also obtained the 3 throttle body O rings as mentioned by Matthews in case that proves to be the fix.

Mine did the same when I first bought her, turned out the CSOV was full at fault, sticking shaft. Indy took it apart, cleaned everything up & not a peep since, that was four years ago. Donut hoses are also on the ‘culprit’ list. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

It's the valve that operates the 2nd turbo after 2500rpm located botton right nr the radiator. Loads of info on here regarding un seizing the earlier types if you do a search. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Give this rubber elbow a good check, several have started to perish and cause leaks.

Twittering/blowing/churuping noises are almost always induction system leaks. Check for soot on the main induction intake to the doughnut where the black elbow joins the throttle body. Item 6 in the photo below. Also check the four rubber hoses on the doughnut.

The MAPT sensor on mine I have to clean twice a year, it’s amazing how much crud gets on the sensor itself & don’t forget to look down the little hole it sits in, mine was covered completely. Cotton wool bud cleared that out & a spray of brake cleaner done the sensor. 5 min job tops. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

My rubber hose was loose and I put a cable tie around it (couldn't get screwdriver in for hose clip!). I also WD40d the pictured component and wiggled spindle with hand, issue hasn't reoccurred since (did it a couple of times under power). No weird noises from mine |
