Hi guys took some reads of both batteries with GAP tool as local garage advised me my battery may need changing soon but everything is ok no issues starting etc.. Are the readings what they should be expected when running and engine off.

You'll know your battery is on its way out when the stop start feature no longer works which is well before when the battery finally dies.

If you have a means of testing CCA output of a battery, I find this gives a very reliable indication of battery condition and where it is in its lifespan.

If, after a recovery programme with a smart charger, CCA is 60% or below original CCA stamped on the battery, the battery is near end of life.

80%+ all good.
