Hi All, I recently had a secondary fuel pump fitted to my 2011 4.4l diesel. Even though the car did run the secondary fuel pump was noisy, in other words it constantly whined even at speed. After being told the whine was normal, I took the car to another mechanic who replaced the secondary fuel pump under warranty. All Good!!!
Except, this mechanic has mounted the fuel pump with the rubber clamps being installed in the middle of the pump, not standard.
Has anybody had any experience or photos showing the correct detailed mounting showing the rubber groments?
