Trailer mode? What does it do?

I’ve got a l322 with a factory mounted trailer mount and I understand that the L322 has some trailer assistance. Problem is that I’ve exchanged the lights to waterproof leds which is great but now Rangie can’t feel that he has a trailer attached. The most obvious nuisance is that the rear park assist screams at me but does the trailer mode do anything else like stability on the road etc.?

Adding resistors to all the wires is a tedious job and could of course compromise the water tightness of the whole setup.

Resistors or a module are the only way to get the car to recognise the individual lights.

It doesn't sound like it's been set up correctly - the parking sensors should deactivate when a trailer plug is attached.

All the system really does is provide tow ball assistance and alignment when hitching a trailer. If you have 360 cameras, it also monitors the trailer swing and provides trajectory assistance when reversing. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
