Hi,

Having discovered that the FFRR I just bought has a failed head gasket , I am looking at doing an engine swap. I am seeing lots on the internet that they used the same engine in both models. Apart from the oil pan and wire harness, are there any differences between the engines and ancillaries I need to take into account?

I've just had a quick look on the Land Rover classic parts website.

The short block for the L322 and L320 have different part numbers. I'm not sure what the differences are so I'd not want to spend much on an L320 engine for it personally. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Have a look on the Land Rover Classic Parts website.

It just lists it as "short engine" with no other description and gives a different part number for the L320 Sport v the L322.
