So it appears that I am the only one to ever have this problem. I am wondering if it is perhaps an amplifier problem. Need to find someone that knows this system. Charles Harrison

Thank you Stan and Andyroo, I have searched on here, but not yet found a definitive answer. The diagram of the system is a help. Not being an electronics person, I will re-check and of the connections, but will still look for an infotainment specialist who may save me a lot of time. Could be anywhere in the country if necessary.

Range Rover audio specialist ? Few and far between I'd imagine.

Quick google will give you a number of options to consider, water ingress to replacement of the head unit or bluetooth module itself.
