TSR retrofit went wrong - mph instead of kph

Hi guys,

I was lucky enough to get the proper mirror with TSR and LDW for my L405. I plugged it in, changed CCF using GAP IID (as said in GAP IID retrofitting manual) and everything worked like a charm except one thing - the traffic signs are in US (mph) format instead of EU format (kmph). The mirror was from US donor, the car itself is EU market.

Any idea how can I make it recognize round shaped signs instead of rectangular ones?

Best Regards,
SRR

Strange, I have an EU car. When I go to the UK and change the setting to MPH, it correctly sees the signs in mph and once I revert the settings it knowns the signs are in KMH.

Ok, both signs are round. But if it see the EU signs but does it wrong. I would suggest changing the setting to MPH and then change them back to mph. It could be something is out of sync. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Thanks!

I have a theory now. Looks like it could be because I installed the carplay module which disables the navigation. And it seems that the TSR works in cooperation with the navigation (it takes the speed limits from maps). So probably it also decides which traffic sign format to choose based on location from nav system. Will disable it and try again.

Confirmed. Got the nav back and it switched format immediately.
