Update, I have done all the O rings in the front valve block, still the same. Height sensors appear to be working when checking using GAP tool.

Thanks for that, I do have the workshop manual but alas it doesn't describe what happens to each valve etc. I think its fairly intuative, seems strange that its only the front that "sticks", to me if seems like a sticking valve but these cars can be fickle.

Sounds like valve block could be sticking ,have you tried swapping the front and rear valve blocks around to see what happens ?.if the front then lowers and the rear doesn’t then you know it’s a valve block issue……you can pick them up from eBay (£15 ish) |

well at least the valve blocks will be good for a long time ,I'm sure that some where on here someone has said just to drill a 2mm hole in the muffler and its all sorted (quick fix till you can get a new one |

I was going to mention the exhaust on the air compressor, but as you said the rear lowered I didn’t think it was that. Nothing lowered when mine was blocked.
