What is this and where does it go? Parking sensor loom

I'm reassembling a 2007 L322 4.2L Supercharged and I'm struggling to identify what this is. It's on the front right side on the same wire loom as the parking sensors. There's a clip on the wire that suggests the wire is clipped to the metal crash bar but I can't seem to figure out where to put the sensor. No identifiable part number. Any leads are much appreciated.

Looking at the gauge of the wires and general location, I wonder if this is a pre-wired socket for additional cooling fan for hot weather markets?

Looks to be blanked off in any case so assume unused on that car and safe to tuck away securely out of sight. Jonathan
