Hi all

Im hoping to get back into RR ownership with a 2019 5.0 SVABD and was all set to complete the purchase but the dealer is having a problem with the key not being recognised by the car, he’s had a new key control module fitted, new key batteries, synced the keys, but still not working, anyone ever have this problem and know the fix please?

The car is now at a LR dealer, don’t know which one, awaiting a technical response from LR, but it’s been several days and still no reply yet.

The key sync and control module was done by LR so Im taking it that they did it ok, the car could’ve been sat at the prestige dealers premises for a little while, maybe that’s the cause, the car went dead or something, anyone able to help please?

If the LR dealer cant fix it, with all their back up resources, what hope do we all have

it just shows you the new JLR security software update works  2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

This forum has solved so many issues that LR dealers don’t fix, so I’m hopeful someone had this happen and remembers what the fix is?

To update, the vehicle will start and drive no problem but will not lock or unlock.

It's not that LR cant fix it, more how slow the dealer is being with the response/ resolution.

Anyone ever have this issue, relating to the locking system only?
