As the title suggests, the lower glovebox wont open. No click when pressing the button. Gentle prying whilst pressing the button has achieved nothing.

Any tips before I waste my time at the dealer?

I've never used the setting before but could it be something to do with the valet setting?

I know this is an old thread, but in case it helps anyone who finds this thread via a search (like I did).

My upper glovebox wasn't opening, with similar symptoms - no click or sign of any actuation. I initially thought it might be the button at fault.

If you put the car into valet mode, then press the glovebox button, if the button is working the car will show "Valet mode" on the dash. So then you know that it's not the button at fault.

Strangely, when I turned valet mode off, the glovebox opened, with a little pressure held against the door.
