It's a shame given all the suspension technology that they didn't go the whole way like Citroen, that way you'd only need to carry a block of wood around if you get a puncture, i.e. raise the car to offroad height, insert said block of wood under jacking point, retract the suspension and offending wheel lifts off the ground. If you combine that with a decent impact driver you'd be able to change a wheel in less than 5 minutes and much less risk of personal injury.

Hi, replying to my own thread as thought spinning in my head (lots of room I know), anyone know what would happen if you attached a vacuum line to an airspring in place of the presure line ?

Don’t think it’d work. Great idea, but I think the air bag would collapse in on itself or around the strut at the front rather than retract its length like a piston. V8 or else ... |
