There is a topic for those centre caps

PM Steve if you want some, they are very good quality, and a nice tight fit as well Smile

I had black wheels on a black car and hated it. I went back to silver. You can’t see the black wheels so they just look lost in the arches.

When I refurbish the wheels on my 5.0 I’ll be sticking with the original shadow chrome. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Thank you. I found his website by searching online and ordered a set earlier. Looking forward to getting them on my car!

This is a great post. Thank you. You’re so right about the black wheels getting lost. That idea has gone forever now. I’m down to two options: a refurb in the same colour or going for Shadow Chrome.

Nice wheels guys, see you aren't running locking nuts, guess yours went rusty as well, is alloy theft less of an issue now?

I have twisted replaced the '4' on mine and now have 1x horrible rusty locking nut, was considering my options!

I didn’t have them on my 4.2 but my 5.0 has them purely as I’ve not got round to removing them yet.

I just can’t be bothered with the hassle of the key breaking at 3am on the M6 whilst 200 miles from home so I like to get rid of them personally. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Alloy theft hasn't really been a notable issue since the mid-late 90s when every manufacturer started fitting them to basically every car that rolled off the production line. It still happens but by comparison with 30 years ago it's vanishingly rare these days.

I haven't had locking nuts on any wheels for at least the last 25 years (I remove them day 1 of acquiring a car) and 40+ vehicles. I've driven and parked them all over the UK and Europe in some very nice and equally very sketchy places. Not had a wheel pinched yet!

Had the joy of spending 2 hrs hammering/chiselling off a stuck locking wheel nut last weekend, discs and pads needed so wasnt an option, replaced all of them with standard nuts.
