Secondary Turbo leaking and covered in oil

Hi
Need some tips before I drop loads of cash trying to fix it.
So I noticed a few drops of oil last night on the driveway. When I checked this morning it's coming from the secondary turbo. I could not see clearly but it also looks like the exhaust side of the turbo is also covered. The middle were the oil drain connects is dry. At first it looks like the turbo might we gone or on the way out. But I have seen a few things online to suggest that oil on the outside of a turbo may be more down to too high crank pressure or a block oil drain. Rather than the turbo itself. Also I was thinking of the turbo was bad that I would see a lot of some out the exhaust... I see nothing even when I boot it. I do see a small puff every now and again.

I feel if I take it to my mechanic he will go straight for a bad turbo.. there are no real turbo specialists where I live, so not sure what advice I'll get locally.

The car has been a problem child since day one. I have had it just over a year and for 11 months it's been in a couple of different garages. So it's only been running for the last month or so ...and now this... Amongst other things. It's a 2011 4.4 tdv8 with 113k miles.

Oil on the outside of the turbo seems a bit weird to me I only really know of the bearing failing and them blowing out a load of smoke....

Am I barking up the wrong thing, thinking it could be a oil drain issue or crank case pressure

I am expecting about 5k to fix and I really do t want to drop that on the car... I have already spent about 7k on lots of other issues and there is still more to do outside of this new turbo issu
..

It does not have the new oil drain mod....

Has anyone else experienced something like this
