Charge system fault, Noco Charger, battery issue?

So my new to me 2010 SC has thanked me for spending days protecting the underneath and giving it a full detail by giving me battery issues.
Battery was new in Dec 22, Lion (non agm), but don’t know if it’s given trouble until now.
After working on car with doors open for majority of day-interior lights off I couldn’t start car (dash etc all OK - but some clicking going on under centre console). So I connected up my Noco Genius 5 charger and it said battery was 50%, left for few hours and it said it was fully charged. Did a short drive then more work on car, again needed to put it on charger, this time it was 25%. Again it was back up to 100% in a few hours!
Today drove the car and am now getting “Charge system fault” on the dash. In car monitor says 13.9v when idling, 12.2v switched off (reading taken within 1 min of switching off.)
Could the battery really be finished after only a year? 2010 Supercharged

Lion batteries are utter utter Censored .

My first port of call would be to fit a decent battery to it and see how you go from there.

Alex

Im in a similar situation. I changed my battery today for an AGM, did the new battery sequence, went for a drive to town and back (10K) and when I put the charger on I had 1 bar out of 4 so suggesting 25%. I never got the charge fault on the old battery but decided to change as I only have the car since November and it was a non AGM battery.

When I test with the Autel Im getting Alternator overcharge, With he amount of electronics in these cars its so essential to have the battery system right

Thanks guys, I’ll start with a decent battery.
I had unplugged anything plugged into cigarette point, turned off interior lights and unplugged the BT streaming dongle when I recognised things might start to be an issue. 2010 Supercharged

In today for diagnostic, as had check engine light on and still needed to sort original issue, found feed from alternator connector corroded. Replaced connection. Will see if that’s sorted the issues. 2010 Supercharged
