Does anyone know if a 2016 (66) autobiography shaould have the park assist fitted? I can turn on the option in the settings but I don’t have a dedicated park assist button on my main screen?
Any thoughts welcomed

Hmmm strange one... I always thought, if the buttons not in the LH switchpack, it doesn't

Hence my question….i was told on the Land Rover experience my model should have it fitted? Unfortunately I can’t find the activation sequence. The left hand side of my screen doesn’t have the parking symbol but it does have a big P in its place. I can find the option in the setting section though?? The big P button switches the PDC system on/off sir…👍

No sir, you get a dedicated park assist button for self parking… This system works independently to the PDC system on/off switch…

Yes that’s what I’ve managed to find reading various online suggestions. I seem to have a few more camera options though? I guess it’ll be some simple to retrofit (well maybe not). Good job I can park ok…. L405 2016 4.4SDV8 Autobiography Corris Grey/Pimento - Current

Yes mines different hence my question as some of the Land Rover literature has the park assist as a separate submenu
My screen (2016) left hand side is
- Home
- Settings
- Park
- Cameras (and I’ve found more options in a submenu)

Park assist aids are on the 4th main screen to the far right

My 2016 AB doesn't have - I was a little bothered that it didn't when I bought it... But then I realised that I can park all by myseld anyway

Would be nice to have but I doubt i'd use it if I'm honest. Ash

I have 360 camera's and parking sensors and radar ... so eveything should in theory be there unless there is some motor required for the 'auto steering'? Ash

Just having a trawl through the forum wiki resources and Ive found the system descriptions

The cars are either fitted with:

Rear Parking System
or
Proximity Parking system

Differences are types of cameras and various control units etc but look retrofitable (obviously at a cost) with a few components - refer to the Parking Aid Description and Operation pdf

There's also a good section on the wading system in the same document

Another element to the proximity Parking System is the Tow Assist element which I'd find really useful given I tow a large 2Te caravan occasionally.

Might have a look into doing the conversion - wonder if anyone else on the forum has tried to do the conversion? Wondering if I have most if not all of the required hardware to make remote parking doable  Ash
