Some advice please on Red triangle Low Coolant

Afternoon All,

Need some advice please, slight off topic, my daughters 2017 Discovery Sport has a red triangle Low Coolant warning (yes a red triangle), only found out by accident, seems the younger generation drive till it stops!!! then its my problem!!! wow, haven't i done well, when asked how longs it been like that, for ages!! even better!!!

It is below the min level but still visible (thats engine hot), I don't want to top up with any old coolant as I don't have any, but question is can i drop a bit of water in it to get upto min level so I can get it to the garage tomorrow rather than drive with a low warning.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

DrF
