As it says in the title, I'm going to change the brake discs and pads on my 08MY TDV8 and wondering what makes people have the best experience with ?
The current set is pretty low quality I think and the pads rust to the discs if it's standing for over a week in the current wet weather. There's a lso a lot of brake dust at the front wheels.

What are the most bought makes on here please ?

Hi,

There's a dozen combinations and depends on the way you drive. If your steady Eddie then Pagid are good value, last quite a while and can handle a heavy foot I've used these a lot. I prefer to spend a little extra and go for Brembos, I like the feel & weight, but they can cope well with heavy towing loads and I do quite a bit in the highlands.

If you drive like you stole it, many will say go with EBC, drilled, slotted or other fancy combo but I've always found they are rubbish when cold and I scared myself to death towing 3 tonnes down hill and they just failed completely, I had them off the next day, I wouldn't trust them myself but many love them.

Stick to the mainstream and don't go too budget & you'll be fine.

Another vote on the Pagid brand from me, fitted all discs and pads quite some time ago, no problems since fitting them. Whilst I do not drive as if the car is stolen, there are times when I don't hang around

Pagid, TRW, Brembo.

You can pick then up cheap when on offer on AutoDoc. A word of caution: be sure to check the manufacturer catalogue part number first for your vehicle and then order that on AutoDoc, not what it's system recommends (as it's not the most accurate). 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Went for Bosch discs and pads in the front and Bosch pads and ATE discs in the rear for now.

I'll see how it goes as I'm driving to Switzerland early January and hope I can fit them before that.

My old discs and pads would be okay for that but we'll see how it goes.
