EGR restricted performance

Hi,

Going into restricted performance shortly after driving off, I found no difference in engine power,
the codes are

P045C-00 - Exhaust gas recirculation B control circuit - Low (2F)

P140E-21 - Exhaust gas recirculation position sensor C minimum/maximum stop performance - General signal failure - signal amplitude<minimum (28

I was just wondering if anyone knows what side of the engine the codes are for ?

I cleared the codes several times now but it always returns

Hi,

looks like your EGR Valve has a small defect with the electrical adjustment.

TWO ways to get it fixed
- Delete the EGR's with a Software patch and blind them mechanically
- Replace the defect EGR Valve unit (wO the Cooling)

Good luck! Current:
- 2006 RR L322 - 3.6 TDV8
- 2022 MB AMG GT BS
- 2020 Audi Q2

Past:

- 2018 Abarth 595 Competizione
- 2009 Porsche Cayenne Diesel
- 2010 MB E500 Coupé
- 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo
- 2002 Porsche Boxster 986 S
- 2001 Audi S8

I finally got to use my Garage after my son removed his car.

Removed the inlet manifold to have a look at the EGR valve,
stripping it down I noticed that the valve was not closing properly,
it had built up rust on the shaft and wouldn't let the valve close.

I have emery clothed the shaft and cleaned the nylon cog, it's all back together now.

I have run the car for about 100 miles now and have not had restricted performance return

Hopefully it lasts and has saved me the cost of a new valve
