What did I miss or mess up, oil cooler change

Hi guys

Today I tackled the major oil leak in my 12 4.4tdv8. The guides here were excellent so again thank you to all those people that help new owners.

I had an oil cooler filter housing that wasn’t bolted down properly and perished o rings. I ripped everything, took my time and cleaned and cleaned. Put everything back and took my time. I cleared codes and had the battery charging all day while on the repair.

When I ran the car it came up with the “water in fuel” error. Hopefully it’s just because I had cleaned gunk and now it’s confused but do I need to be concerned about this? I’ve checked all hoses and everything seems in place but has anyone else had this when changing the oil cooler and filter housing?

I believe that is the sensor that is part of the fuel filter. Did you disturb it?

Thanks Phoenix

Hopefully its something small like that as I dont think I disturbed it while doing the work. She has been sitting in the garage all week and it has been warm and cold so maybe also condensation.

I need to do a filter anyways as the car is new to me 4 weeks and I have no real history so Im going to do everything as we tend to do.

Thanks to the mods for moving the message too, apologies I was very tired when posting this.
