So it’s the time of year where it’s below zero, and it’s time to limber up for getting into your L322

Has anyone found a solution to the drivers door not opening challenge? The mechanism and cable have all been greased….but no joy! Perhaps a new cable??? And why only the drivers door?


As an aside mine has found a friend this morning 😂 , great to see a pair of older L322’s together

water/rain runs down the window into the latch area and subsequently freezes..new door window rubbers and plenty of grease in the mechanism.. ... - .- -.

I treat my door rubber seals to some lube

Gummi pflege and the likes it does seem to help the seals from sticking to the door frames.
not sure it would help the lock freezing.

Gummy pfledge ordered.

The rarest thing in the photo is that they both still have the factory 18 inch alloys fitted.

Most folk put bigger ones on, but they are much better with kerbs and I do like the look too.

Not answering the original question I know. Didn’t even bother trying to get into mine today, the drivers side is more open to the wind etc it seems and it was well frozen over.

Car is outside since I moved house in March… this week is first time I’ve seen it with a frost on 🤣.
